Musk says Twitter will charge $8 a month for account verification after criticism for $19.99 plan
After facing criticism for his plan to charge Twitter users $19.99 a month to get or keep a verified account, Elon Musk has a counteroffer.
Musk on Tuesday said he planned to charge $8 a month for Twitter’s subscription service, called “Twitter Blue,” with the promise to let anyone pay to receive a coveted blue check mark to verify their account.

"Paywalled Video" coming to Twitter?
Twitter is working on a "Paywalled Video" feature, potentially a vehicle to monetize adult content among other things. An internal email shows it's been deemed "high" risk but they hope to launch it within 1-2 weeks anyway.

Instagram won’t make an iPad app, but its web interface is getting better
Instagram’s CEO has made it clear that an iPad app isn’t a huge priority for the company, but it is at least doing something to make the big-screen experience better. Some people, including a few members of The Verge’s staff, have started noticing a slightly redesigned version of Instagram for the web, which features a navigation sidebar with links to pages like search, explore, messages, and notifications instead of having those as unlabeled buttons at the top.
