Meta Unveils New AR and Reels Ad Options 🎯
Meta has unveiled new augmented reality (AR) and Reels ad options aimed at helping brands capitalise on the popularity of these formats.
AR Ads are now in testing with Instagram Reels and Facebook Stories, in addition to existing availability in the Facebook Feed, Instagram Feed and Instagram Stories.
AR Ads allow brands to create immersive experiences that allow users to try on products, test out makeup looks, or see how furniture would look in their home.
Meta is also introducing larger call-to-action buttons and product carousels for Reels ads. These changes are designed to make it easier for users to interact with Reels ads and learn more about the products or services being promoted.
Comment: The new AR and Reels ad options are part of Meta's ongoing efforts to make its advertising platform more engaging and effective for brands.
New Reels button 🎥
Facebook is testing a “Create Reel” button in the user’s profile ‘Reels’ tab on Android.
Thanks to Radu Oncescu for this one.
Comment:Reels becoming more of a 'thing' on Facebook.
Meta introduces AI to create a scene 🖼️
Meta are introducing ImageBind: a new AI model that can understand how images, audio, video, depth and motion all relate to one another to create a scene.
This creates new opportunities for creators in the future, like being able to take a video of a sunset and have the AI model add the perfect audio to enhance it.
We're open sourcing ImageBind so others can use it to create new products and experiences.

Social Mind: Social and AI Insights
Welcome to Wednesday 🙌
A few people have noticed that I haven't been featuring Twitter very much lately in The Social Daily. There are 3 main reasons. Firstly, features are often launched and then immediately removed or changed. Secondly, the amount of extreme content and misinformation is huge. Thirdly and most important, I just don't see Twitter as being relevant for social media marketing for business anymore. Sad but true.
Have a productive day!
Best wishes
