GPT-5: Everything We Know So Far About OpenAI's Next Chat-GPT Release π€
The article from SlashGear discusses the anticipated release of OpenAI's GPT-5, the next version of the language model. Here's a summary:
Release Date: OpenAI has not confirmed a release date for GPT-5. The CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, has stated that they are not currently working on GPT-5 and that there is a lot of work to do before its development.
Expectations: GPT-5 is expected to support larger inputs than its predecessor, GPT-4, which can process requests with up to 8,192 tokens. However, this could also lead to an increase in pricing. The model is also expected to be more factually correct and have fewer "hallucinations" (instances of providing incorrect or nonsensical information).
Multimodal Capabilities: GPT-5 may have improved capabilities to process data in various forms, such as audio, video, and more. GPT-4 can already use images as inputs for better context.
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI): There is speculation about GPT-5 being linked to AGI, a state of autonomous human-like learning. However, this is still a theoretical concept and it's uncertain when it will be realized.
Concerns: There are concerns about the ethical use of AI and how it may be detrimental to humanity. These concerns were sparked by GPT-4 and led to an open letter signed by hundreds of tech leaders, educationists, and dignitaries, calling for a pause on the training of systems more advanced than GPT-4.

LinkedIn test a way for members to use AI directly within the LinkedIn share box π€
In an effort to streamline the process of creating posts on LinkedIn, the platform is set to begin testing a new feature that allows members to utilise generative AI directly within the LinkedIn share box. This feature aims to transform great ideas into fully-fledged posts, making the process less daunting and more efficient.
To initiate the process, members will be required to input a minimum of 30 words that encapsulate their thoughts and perspectives. This will serve as the core of the post. Subsequently, the generative AI will be leveraged to create a preliminary draft. This draft will provide a robust foundation for members to review, modify, and personalize before they decide to post.
LinkedIn emphasizes that responsible AI is a fundamental component of this process. Therefore, the platform will be cautiously testing this experience before it is made available to all members. This careful approach ensures that the feature is refined and effective, aligning with LinkedIn's commitment to provide a seamless user experience.

Mark Zuckerberg v Elon Musk: this cage ainβt big enough for the both of us π₯
The article from The Guardian discusses a recent event where Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, suggested to Mark Zuckerberg, the boss of Meta, that they should settle their differences in a cage fight. Zuckerberg apparently agreed to the idea. The author compares this event to the 2002 celebrity boxing match between Ricky Gervais and Grant Bovey. Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, predicted that the Musk-Zuckerberg clash would break all records.
The author questions why two men with a combined wealth of $340bn would choose to fight each other, dismissing the idea that it would be for charity. The author suggests that this could be an extreme case of tech bros going rogue, as both Musk and Zuckerberg have amassed unimaginable wealth and have had to contemplate what a meaningful life entails.
The author also proposes a simpler explanation: Musk was joking, and Zuckerberg didn't get it. The author criticizes social media as a poor place for discussion, often descending into chaos. The author concludes by stating that the Musk-Zuckerberg spat shows how far social media has fallen from its original ideals.
