Snapchat launches a new AI selfie feature called ‘Dreams’ 🤳
Snapchat is rolling out this cool new feature called "Dreams." It's all about using generative AI to let you create some wild images of yourself. Imagine turning yourself into a mermaid swimming in the deep sea or maybe even a royal figure from the Renaissance era. Sounds fun, right?
To dive into this "Dreams" world, you gotta head over to the Memories section in Snapchat. There's a new tab there just for this feature. You take a few selfies, and voila! The AI creates a personalized model for you. The first pack of eight "Dreams" is free, but after that, you'll have to shell out a buck for additional packs.
The feature is starting off in Australia and New Zealand but will be available globally in the coming weeks. Snapchat is also planning to let you feature your friends in these "Dreams" if they've opted in.
This isn't entirely groundbreaking, though. There are already apps like Lensa and Remini that offer similar AI photo magic. But hey, it's Snapchat, so it's bound to get some traction.
Instagram tests a new way to interact with post replies ✍️
After experimenting with the feature over the last few months, Instagram is now live testing the capacity to share comments from any public post or Reel to your IG story.
