Full set of emoji reactions coming to WhatsApp

You'll soon be able to react with the full emoji keyboard to WhatsApp messages, not just the current 6.

WhatsApp is dumping OTP 6 digit verification

WhatsApp will be using Flash Calls to authenticate users which will be easy and will automatically complete the process without any action from users.

WhatsApp is planning to roll out the Flash Calls for beta testing very soon. This feature will discard the use of six digits codes and it will automatically sign into the users’ accounts on the platform.

The Flash Call feature is an ability to automatically authenticate users and log into their respective accounts without entering the six digits codes or OTP that was earlier being sent via SMS or calls. The messaging app will make a short call to the users and authenticate them by accessing their phones’ contacts or the call logs. However, the users will have to grant SMS, location and call access to the messaging app in order to activate the Flash Call feature.

Instagram is making it easier for you to create professional livestreams

Meta has brought Facebook’s Live Producer feature to Instagram, letting desktop users go live using third-party streaming software like OBS and Streamlabs.

Rather than being limited to a phone camera and microphone, you’ll be able to create more dynamic livestreams with additional cameras and graphics.

Broadcasters can view and reply to comments using Live Producer, but Live Rooms, Shopping, Fundraisers, comment pinning and Q&A are not supported.
