TikTok Suspends Planned Data Usage Policy Change Amid New EU Investigation
Yesterday, TikTok confirmed that it has suspended a planned change to its privacy policy relating to the use of user insights for targeted advertising, amid questions over whether the change is actually legal under the latest EU provisions for data protection and control.

New ‘Creator Marketplace’ Influencer Discovery Platform
Instagram has launched an initial test of its Creator Marketplace for Instagram specifically.
As you can see in this screenshot, much like Facebook’s Brand Collabs Manager platform, Instagram’s Creator Marketplace will enable advertisers to search for potential creators to partner with on campaigns.
New unmentions feature now live on Twitter
Following the testing of unmentions mentioned here back in April, Twitter has rolled out the feature to all users.
Unmentioning lets users untag themselves from threads. To unmention yourself, find a tweet within the conversation and navigate to the three-dot options menu. Select Leave This Conversation.
Your Twitter handle will remain in the thread, but Twitter will untag it from the original tweet and all replies so users can’t follow the link.
You won’t receive future notifications from the conversation, but you can still view the thread.
