Text posts coming to Instagram ✍️
nstagram is reportedly developing Text Mode for feed posts, according to new screenshots from app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi.
Text posts look similar to those on Facebook, but are classed as an image on Instagram.
Users may soon be able to add new style text posts to Instagram. Whilst you can design image posts with text and background, like quotation posts, in a tool like Canva and then upload, this new option would allow users to customise background colours and add emojis natively. It’s unclear whether Instagram will add more formatting options like different fonts and text sizes.

TikTok has quietly added video-scrubbing thumbnails to its platform this week as the company continues to beef up its video features. The new addition makes it easier for users to find a specific part of a longer video.
The feature was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra.

Navigation changes coming to Instagram 🗺️
Starting in February, Meta are changing Instagram’s navigation to make it easier for people to share and connect with their friends and interests. The navigation bar at the bottom of the app will now have the shortcut for creating content in the center and Reels to the right.
