Meta tests 3 new Facebook features π
Facebook has announced a new update aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for its users. This update includes a feature that automatically applies discounts at checkout for users in the US, UK, Canada, and India who have clicked on certain sponsored content advertising seasonal promotions. If the user does not complete the purchase, a reminder will be sent before the deal expires.
Furthermore, Meta is testing new features for its Lead Ads, such as a dynamic question flow that adjusts based on the user's responses. In addition, brands will soon have the ability to overlay Instant Forms on their business web pages within Facebook's in-app browser, providing a seamless and integrated user experience.
Lastly, businesses using the new Facebook Page will be able to include a contact form via a call-to-action button, enabling visitors to easily share their contact information through Messenger. These updates aim to make the process of shopping and lead generation on Facebook more efficient and user-friendly.
Comment: These new features should enhance the sales via ads and the collection of leads whilst improving the experience for customers.

Recent news suggests that the new app, tentatively named "Barcelona," could potentially debut as early as next month.
Meta is said to be providing select creators with confidential details about the app and even granting some well-known figures an early look.
Barcelona is expected to be a decentralized app, marking Meta's initial venture into the development of such a network.
LinkedIn starts rolling out new verification and anti-scam features β
LinkedIn is introducing new verification features to ensure job-seekers are dealing with legitimate companies and jobs. It will display information about job posters and their companies, including verifications for company pages, job poster work emails, and government ID verification through CLEAR.
LinkedIn is also addressing the issue of fake accounts by launching warnings for high-risk content in messages. These warnings alert users about potential scams, such as requests to move conversations to other platforms. LinkedIn's latest transparency report revealed a significant increase in scam accounts, with the company blocking over 58 million accounts between July and December 2022.
The platform is actively combating fake accounts by using a deep-learning-based model to detect AI-generated profile photos. The new verification and anti-scam features are gradually rolling out, and LinkedIn encourages users to refer to its tips on spotting and avoiding suspicious job postings.

Welcome to Wednesday π
I've been busy with training this week plus yesterday was on BBC Hereford and Worcester talking about a Facebook glitch that made the headlines. I'm on near the start of the Malcolm Boyden show if you'd like to listen.
This morning I'm having breakfast with a client then it's meetings throughout the day.
Have a great day!
