Brands in the UK spent the most on social advertisements globally in Q2 2022. During the period, UK brands spent an average of £4,945, 59% more than the global average of £3,118.

New features

New Meta Advantage+ ad automation tools

Meta’s bringing new tools to its ad automation product Meta Advantage to help advertisers maximise ad spend.

Rolling out to ecommerce and retail advertisers on 15 August, the new Advantage+ shopping campaign tool automaties up to 150 creative combinations. It’ll soon support US-based Facebook or Instagram shops as a campaign destination too.

Secondly, small businesses can now access Advantage+ creative and Advantage audience to create Facebook ads.

Advantage+ creative automatically adjusts creative for each person who views your ad according to what will engage them most, while Advantage audience creates a personalised audience based on your Page details that automatically adjusts over time.

 

LinkedIn adds new templates for posts

LinkedIn have added new template options for posts, which provides a range of text formatting and background options for your LinkedIn updates.

There'll be rolled out over the coming...well, years probably 😀

Facebook continue to push Reels

I spotted yesterday that Reels rather than Stories is now the default tab on the Android mobile app.
