3 new ad features from Twitter
Twitter has announced three new updates for all global advertisers: an improved Twitter Pixel, an updated Conversion API, and App Purchase Optimization.
The updated pixel tracks actions such as Add to Cart, while Twitter has also simplified the integration and activation process.
Twitter’s new Conversion API will enable advertisers to feed conversion data back to their account with or without the Twitter Pixel - a first for advertisers.
Finally App Purchase Optimization uses machine learning to identify audiences that are more likely to take an action like app installs or purchases, and serves ads to this audience segment. It’s available on Android with iOS support coming soon.
Another 4 new features for Reels
Following yesterday's news of 3 new Reels features, here are another 4:
1) Remix in Sequence lets you remix a Reel while playing the videos one after the other as opposed to side-by-side.
2) A new auto-creation feature turns your Stories and Memories into Reels.
3) Stars for Facebook Reels enables audiences to make gifts to their favourite creators.
4) Facebook users with access to Creator Studio can now create, schedule, and publish Facebook Reels from their desktop.
Pinterest looks set to launch in-app shopping
Pinterest is trialling hosted checkout with Shopify merchants, a shopping tool that lets customers browse, click and buy from product Pins, all without leaving the Pinterest app.
Merchants receive all customer information and handle all orders directly, including status updates and support.
This new hosted checkout feature is currently available to select US merchants in the Pinterest Verified Merchant Program.
