Twitter Whistleblower Appears Before US Senate, Reiterates Security Concerns at the App
Twitter’s no-good, very bad year continued on Tuesday, with the platform’s former security chief Peiter Zatko appearing before a Senate Judiciary Committee to discuss his recent accusations that Twitter is not fulfilling its security requirements, and has repeatedly misled the market, and its own board, about the state of its performance, on various fronts.

Making it easier to create Instagram Reels from Stories
As spotted by Alessandro Paluzzi, Instagram is testing a stand alone 'Create Reel' icon on the Stories menu bar.
TikTok Favourites no longer private
TikTok has updated its Favourites process. When users add a video to their Favourites, TikTok will now send a notification to the video’s creator.
Previously Favourites were private, so only the user could access them.
As previously, viewers can still Like videos to signal their public support.
Community Chats launched
Mark Zuckerberg has announced Community Chats with quite a big song and dance.
It's a good move but all it does is link two existing features - Group Chats and Facebook Groups.
As Mark says, "We're building Community Chats as a new way to connect with people who share your interests."
