TikTok won't commit to stopping US data flows to China ๐
TikTok repeatedly declined to commit to US lawmakers on Wednesday that the short-form video app will cut off flows of US user data to China, instead promising that the outcome of its negotiations with the US government "will satisfy all national security concerns."

Instagram continues to test encrypted messages ๐
Instagram is now testing encrypted messages in India.
Meta announced the expansion of its end-to-end encryption test last month.
โLast year, we started a limited test of opt-in end-to-end encrypted messages and calls on Instagram, and in February we broadened the test to include adults in Ukraine and Russia," the firm said.
"Soon, weโll expand the test even further to include people in more countries and add more features like group chats."
Instagram Gifts feature being tested ๐
Instagram is internally testing a new tipping feature for creators on the platform.
The test feature called "Gifts" would enable creators to earn money through Reels.
Instagram testing Media Kit ๐๏ธ
Instagram is developing a tool for creators that lets them pitch themselves to brands, which sounds similar to Creator Marketplace, also being tested and mentioned here previously.
The Media Kit acts as a portfolio of sorts, with sections for text, posts, previous brand collaborations, insights, and an About Me section.
Instagram has reportedly confirmed the Media Kit is an internal prototype and is not testing it externally at this time.
