New features

Public group chats coming to Instagram?

Instagram is reportedly developing a direct messaging feature called public group chats, which are chats that others can discover. There’s been no word from Instagram on the feature, but was mentioned here having been spotted by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi in July.

According to an introductory pop-up, public group chats let users connect over shared interests. Admins can moderate the chat and its members; and chats need to comply with Instagram’s community guidelines.

It could be easier to spot someone who's viewed your Stories

According to Alessandro Paluzzi @alex193a, Instagram is working on the ability to search within the list of story viewers.

Comment: Handy for those with large numbers of Story viewers.

LinkedIn continue to improve Company Pages

Firstly, companies and organizations can now spotlight values that are important to them in new section 'our featured commitments' on their Company Page.

Secondly, you can now pin significant comments to the top of a thread on a post.
