Auto-play GIFs coming to WhatsApp 🆕

WhatsApp users will soon be able to auto-play GIFs when they open a message.

The GIF will start playing automatically as users scroll down a conversation or open a text message.

Previously, users had to tap a GIF to have it play.

New features coming to Professional Profiles 🆕

Facebook are working on bringing more of their “New Page Experience” to Professional Profiles through sections such as Events or Ad Center.

Thanks to Radu Oncescu for this one.

Comment: If you're a freelancer and/or want to use your Facebook Profile for business or content creation, then Professional Profiles are worth investigating.

AI coming to Instagram 🆕

Instagram is working on the ability to generate custom stickers using AI.

Comment: Over the next few months we're going to see a slew of AI features on social networks. AI is going to be increasingly important in marketing so I'm launching an AI/Marketing training course...if this is something you're interested in, just hit reply.

Tips

How to write LinkedIn InMails that work 📨

✅Personalise your messages. The more personalised your message is, the more likely it is to be opened and read. Take the time to research your recipient and tailor your message to their interests and needs.
✅Keep your messages short and sweet. No one wants to read a long, rambling message. Get to the point quickly and clearly.
✅Use a strong call to action. Tell your recipient what you want them to do. Do you want them to connect with you? Schedule a call? Visit your website? Be clear about what you're asking for.
✅Proofread your messages. Typos and grammatical errors make you look unprofessional.
✅Use InMail credits wisely. Don't send InMails to people who are unlikely to be interested in what you have to say.
✅Use a subject line that will grab attention.
✅Use visuals. Images and videos can help break up your text and make your message more visually appealing.
✅Track your results. Use LinkedIn's analytics tools to track how many people open and read your messages. This information can help you improve your messaging strategy over time.
