WhatsApp Channels: the Twitter-like update explained 🆕
The article discusses a new feature being added to WhatsApp called "WhatsApp Channels". This feature is described as a Twitter-like space for updates from people, organisations, and communities within the app. The feature is set to roll out first in Colombia and Singapore, with other countries to follow in the coming months.

Users won't need to add a phone number to access the updates page. Instead, they can search for people, communities, organisations, and interests through the app. These followable pages will be called 'channels', where text, photos, videos, polls, and more can be uploaded and shared with the channel's audience.
Channels will be private broadcast services, with private details like phone numbers and profile photos hidden. Channels can also be set to private, blocking them from being found via search. Updates will disappear from Meta’s servers up to 30 days, but channels will not come with end-to-end encryption. However, Meta has stated it might consider end-to-end encryption for some specific channels in the future.
Channel admins will have the ability to block screenshots and forwards, ensuring that whatever is posted in the channel remains in the channel. Meta also plans to integrate payment and other monetisation services into channels in the future.
The article suggests that this move by Meta is aimed at users looking for a Twitter-like alternative, and could attract those who want to de-spam their social media timelines. It could also attract businesses keen to spread their messaging without the risk of doing so on entirely public forums.
ChatGPT catches up with Bard with real time internet access 🤖
ChatGPT can now access internet content in real time. Previously, content later than September 2021 could not be accesses by ChatGPT.
Now you can use the Browse with Bing beta mode which is available to paid subscribers to obtain up to date news, stats, research, weather - anything on the web and apply AI to the results.
You can also use various plugins to search the real time web too like KeyMate.AI Search.
TikTok have introduced an AI Script Generator 🤖
TikTok have introduced the TikTok Script Generator, a complimentary tool for TikTok ad script creation that assists marketers in cultivating their creativity.
This tool generates script suggestions, including elements such as the hook, body, and call-to-action scenes, all within a few seconds. All you need to do is input some information about your brand or product, and then let the tool work its wonders.
This innovative feature is now accessible to all users of the TikTok Creative Center. You can access it via desktop using your TikTok for Business login.
